Use Case –A Use Case is a means of capturing user requirements with the end user perspective. The use case documents the user interaction with the application, which would result in completion of a value added activity for the end user. E.g. of use cases for a customer in an airline reservation system would be Reserve Flight, Cancel Reservation.

Components of A Use Case

Name - Provide an action Verb

Description - Describe how this use case is used by the end user

Actor - Who is the end user ?

Pre - Conditions - What are the pre-condtions for this use case to start. e.g could be an event.

Normal Flow - What are the user actions and the system reponses.

Alternate Flow - What are the alternate flows of this use case.

Post Conditions - What happens after this use case finishes.
